Terms and Conditions

What you should know
Your contract is with Eco-Host Safaris Uganda Terms and conditions are listed below. Please read carefully, as the booking and the acceptance of our contract is legally binding. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.

Upon confirmation, 50% of the total tour costs are due.  The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your trip. If, at the time of confirmation, your departure date is less than 60 days away, then the total cost shall be due.

Cancellation Policy
Any changes to your travel arrangements must be communicated to Eco-Host Safaris Uganda immediately. We are prepared to offer alternatives that may fit your needs or to cancel the entire booking. Note that we reserve the right to charge cancellation fees that may be incurred if there is insufficient time to amend the confirmed arrangements. Additional costs for changes to these arrangements shall be the responsibility of the client.

The cancellation policy below applies to all packages designed and operated by Eco-Host Safaris Uganda. We are not liable to provide any refund if it does not fall within our guidelines.

• Up to 75 days prior to your arrival, 25% of the total cost will be forfeited as cancellation fees.
• Less than 75 days prior to your arrival, 50% of the total cost shall be levied as cancellation fees.
• Less than 60 days prior to your arrival, 100% of total paid will be assessed as cancellation fees.
• Gorilla Permits are nonrefundable.


Code of Conduct
On any Eco-Host Safaris Uganda, you are expected to abide by the laws of Uganda, Rwanda, and/or Democratic Republic of Congo and adhere to the instructions provided by the personnel in charge. The signing of the booking means that you agree with any rules or directions presented to you. If at any point during the trip, the personnel in charge believes that your behavior is detrimental to the safety or well-being of you or any member of your group, you may be instructed to leave the tour immediately without any refund.


Medical and Preliminary Arrangement
Eco-Host Safaris Uganda is not a company that specializes in travel for people with disabilities, but we will take reasonable steps to cater for any special requirements you may have. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which could affect your stay, please provide us with full details before we confirm your booking. We will advise you, to the best of our ability, as to the suitability of your chosen arrangements. Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking.

If you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we will cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges when we become aware of these details.

Eco-Host Safaris Uganda is also not responsible for any of the arrangements associated with acquiring a visa (as well as passport) to the chosen destination.


Eco-Host Safaris Uganda is the provider of adventurous travel, but all risks are the responsibility of the individual traveler. Eco-Host Safaris Uganda is not responsible for any unforeseen accidents that happen on the expedition.

We encourage all travelers to arrange for travel insurance before departure as no costs will be borne by Eco-Host Safaris Uganda.
Note: Many of the activities in Africa can be physically strenuous.  The traveler must ensure that they possess the strength and stamina to participate in these adventures.

Eco-Host Safaris Uganda does not accept any consent from individuals under the age of 18. We also recommend that before travel, the traveler verifies that all of the activities are age appropriate. For example: Gorilla Trekking is not available for those under 15 years of age.

Extra Costs
Eco-Host Safaris Uganda itineraries do not include: vaccinations, medications, gratuities, international airfare, excess baggage charges, cost of visas, alcoholic drinks, personal items, phone calls, or medical insurance.  Is the cost of meals included?

Force Majeure
Force Majeur is any unforeseeable circumstances that may interfere with the traveler’s trip. These conditions include: adverse weather, fire at the game reserve, boat unavailability, and hotel overbooking. Any decisions made due to these circumstances (including cancellation) that Eco-Host Safaris Uganda makes which affects the itinerary of the trip will result in a refund to the traveler.

Each traveler’s itinerary will detail what is included in the total cost of the package. We hope that you enjoy your trip and the services provided by Eco-Host Safaris Uganda.
